I can only repeat what I said in my review of the tour Monica gave me for the Mexico City Historical Center, which was that Monica is a fantastic tour guide. The tour of Frida Kahlo's house was awesome, as were the places she showed me after that (Trotsky's house, the government building used by Cortes, etc.) I highly recommend her to be your tour guide.
I will start by saying that we choose the wrong tour when given a couple of options. Whilst Monica was very knowledgable of the area we went. We like to have to have more the Mexican history as a whole and not One area. We should have chosen to see the city center and its surrounds.
Monica was able to customize our tour for us which provided us with an excellent experience and most memorable time in Mexico City. Monica was punctual and was well prepared and very knowledgeable. She was able to meet the needs of our family (2 children) and we really enjoyed our time with her. Our highlights included Frida Kahlo's house, the markets, wonderful street food and strolling the streets of Coyoacan enjoying the neighborhood. We also did a wonderful day with Monica in the Historic Centre.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: So pleased to know it! Best wishes for all of you.

Less then 24 hours before our scheduled departure, we realized we had booked the wrong tour. Monica was so very accommodating and was not troubled by our switch in venues. Instead, we asked her to take us on the pyramid tour. I would put her knowledge of the pyramids and that time frame up against any I had experienced in Egypt where most guides are history majors. Monica was personable and always asked about our comfort level which was very appreciated.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: A pleasure to have met you! My best wishes for you!

Monica recommended this tour, and I wasn't sure what to expect other than a visit to the Frida Kahlo Museum. As it turned out, the trip gave us a lovely, relaxing glimpse into a couple of slower-paced Mexican suburbs with charming colonial villas, quiet plazas, and excellent shopping and restaurants. Highlights for me included walking through a Mexican food market, and driving by a house that La Malinche once resided in. Monica was a terrific guide. We would definitely use her again!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Jo Ann, I'm very pleased to learn that you liked the three tours and hope you feel like comming back and spending few more days in Mexico. As well, I enjoyed being with you! Good luck!

Knowledge, great historical interpretation and fabulous ability to provide insights about the details of the places we visited. If you are a beginner or an individual with some knowledge of Mexican history and want to explore the many facets of Mexico City and the area around it; then you must schedule a tour with Ms. Monica! Bring good walking shoes and be ready to explore. You will go home with a deeper understanding of Mexico and will surely have a desire to return.

Monica was very accommodating in getting us a larger vehicle for our trip, which was greatly appreciated. Her knowledge of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera was good but I didn't feel she was an expert on this subject. As she reviewed the lives of Frida and Diego Rivera I would have enjoyed understanding how they met and a more accurate account of Frida's medical problems from the bus accident. I needed to hear how each of the artist's style affected the art world and what has made them so prominent.
Monica provided a very relaxed and knowledgeable tour of Coyoacan, indulging us with an extra long visit to the Frida y Diego museum, La Casa Azul, which thrilled us. We also enjoyed the mercado, especially the beautifully displayed foods, and of course the wonderful artesenias. The architecture in the area is lovely, especially the Juan O'Gorman designed studio/homes for Frida and Diego. Lunch was delicious, and it was a very fll and tiring day.. Oh, the bakery too was amazing.
I had a Wonderful experience with Monica , I highly recommend this tour and Monica ..

Monica is a wonderful guide. She is very professional. She is knowledgable plus has a gift for connecting with others. I was very comfortable with her and my experience was very much like traveling with an old friend.

We had a lovely day with Monica. She is passionate about Mexico and it was a great introduction to the city for us. She was so accommodating, even taking us to purchase our Lucha Libre tickets and choosing the seats with the best view. Coyocan is a beautiful area with lots of colonial houses & tree lined streets. The tour was exactly what we wanted on our first day in Mexico City. Monica is very knowledgeable and has an excellent command of English. Highly recommended.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: I'm so glad that it was a meaningful and memorable tour, especially because you are honeymooners! Hope you can come back again, maybe for your second anniversary, and I'll be happy to show more interesting places. My best regards for both.

Spent a beautiful sunny saturday strolling the plazas in the Coyoacn areaa with Monica - our second tour with her and as relaxing and pleasant as the first. We went to galleries and chuches, listened to music in the plaza and enjoyed it so much more with Monica's knowledge of the area. When we go back to Mexico City we will definetely book another tour with her - you could not ask for a better tour guide
