We spent 4 days with Lisa, and this was probably my favorite. The scenery is spectacular!! Magnificent waterfalls, beautiful farmland, lots of Icelandic horses! Lisa grew up in this area and gave us a great education about the area. She took us to the Krauna Geothermal hot pools for a very relaxing couple of hours, and then to a nice bakery for some hot soup and some lively conversation. Great Day!

Met with Lisa Sunday, September 17th for her tour of Iceland. Lisa was very hospitable and engaging. The four of us found she was a safe driver who knew the area well. We saw a wide variety of landscapes. She personalized our trip once she asked if we were interested in history. With her personalized service, we were able to go at our own pace. Found the day extremely enjoyable. She also made sure to let us know that tipping is not at all acceptable. I would recommend this tour for any small group wanting
Highlight of our stay so far! Despite it being foggy in parts we had an amazing time and really appreciated Lisa's depth of knowledge and her sense of humour. We would thoroughly recommend this tour to everyone and the ride up to the glacier was an adventure in itself! She also introduced us to a delightful cafe, the Bruras Geo-center which had fantastic views and in house roasted coffee to die for! Loved every minute and wish we could do more trips with Lisa. Book early as she gets really busy quickly.

We had several Icelandic guides during our trip, and Lisa was the best of them all. Her English was much easier for me to understand than was that of the other guides. She provided much good information about Iceland and its people and culture, and her tour was very much as described on the website.

Lisa gave us an amazing day on the west coast of Iceland. She is fluent in English, very knowledgeable about the Icelandic culture, history, and geography. Lisa pointed out many interesting things about the country, answered every question we had and shared her knowledge of the folklore (her specialty) and history of the country. She engaged out teenage children in conversation and offered us the perspective that only a native Icelander could. We highly recommend spending a day touring with Lisa.

Lisa is an outstanding guide and we had a fantastic tour of West Iceland. There's a reason this is "Lisa's favorite" - she grew up in this area and knows every inch of territory and lots of people. She had many local stories to tell us in addition to her expertise in history, folklore, geology, and geography. Lisa is also very warm and personable and made the day an enjoyable one. I would travel with Lisa again in a heartbeat -- in fact we did, two days later!

What a wonderful guide. We had a glitch with some timing on transportation from the Glacier but she handled it competently and was very gracious about it. She showed us little hidden secrets in the area and my granddaughters just loved her and especially the goat farm! She really knows her stuff.

Lisa was TERRIFIC!!! She went above and beyond in every way, tailoring every aspect of our experience to our needs. She is very knowledgeable on every aspect of Icelandic culture and an absolute joy to spend time with. Doesn't get any better than touring Iceland with Lisa!

Loved Lisa's tour with our family. She is so personable and answered all of our weird and crazy questions about the island. Her love of Iceland shows. I would recommend her for any tour that you pick with her. The West Iceland tour was relaxing and beautiful.

Turquoise water! Seriously, a river with turquoise water! Who cares about that lame Blue Lagoon, this was amazing! A little bit of Icelandic history, beautiful farm countryside, horses, and Geysir. Don't go on those lame Golden Circle Tours. Tell Lisa what you want to see and trust her. You won't be sorry!

Where do I start!!! Can you imagine waking up with the best experience in your travel life? Is it possible? Let me tell you, spending the day with Lisa, who also carries the same name as my wife, was the best thing to happen to us in Iceland. We learned more over 9 hours from her than we learned the entire week if not a lifetime. When in Rome.....BS... When in Iceland, L-I-S-A is all you need.

Lisa is incredibly knowledgable of Icelandic folklore and the countryside as she was born and raised there. We told her the types of things we like and she was able to make a tour perfect for our family. She kept my 3 boys (ages 9, 14, 16) interested and engaged. She took us on stunning scenic (and rural) roads which probably only locals use so we avoided the crush of busy areas while still seeing the wonders of Iceland. We've used several private tour guides. Lisa is one of the best!
