Julie was wonderful and gracious. She showed us a lot of out of the ordinary sites and was flexible when I asked to see a gold mine. She was so kind to even bring us to her house. Thank you Julie for the wonderful day.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Fantastic day! Loved your company! Please come again!

Julie was the perfect hostess for us. Our prior communications allowed her to taylor our tour to our specific wants, needs and capabilities. She not only gave us exactly what we wanted but represented her country well! We highly recomend her to anyone interested in seeing and learning the area.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thanks for you kind words. I had such a lovely day with you and the the pleasure was all mine. Hope to see you back here again one day.

Julie is a very nice girl. Having said that, there was no microphone in the bus so no one could hear her, she didn't open doors for anyone, she tailgated and drove way to fast. She also refused a refund we were owed for having added extra people to the tour. The clincher was seeing her enjoy a nice cold beer at lunch. As Americans, we are appalled at ANY alcohol consumption during any period a person drives. Other than that, it was great!

TOURSBYLOCALS RESPONSE: We've asked Julie to respond to the concerns raised here. The larger group required a larger vehicle which was more expensive. We don't condone alcohol consumption, but the beer was purchased by a member of the party for Julie.

Julie was an excellent guide. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible. She took us where we asked to go, and even added an "extra" stop in her home town. The four of us were comfortable in the vehicle, and were unanimous in our recommending her to other travelers.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hi there Richard, I'm so glad you enjoyed the day! I would love to see you this way again some time. Best regards Julie

Rotorua is an amazing place and we have enjoyed our day there. Unfortunate disappointment of the day was that we expected a guided tour, but received a car with a driver who does not have any knowledge of unique geothermal, historical, cultural features of the area. Julie does not know any answers about volcanoes, kiwi birds or Maori history....all this we had to learn on our own after the " tour". I think it would be less deceiving, if your service was not called tour, but hired car + driver.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: I'm sorry for the disappointment. It's difficult when you have 3 quite couples wanting to do diverse things but 2 couples loved the museum & Mr Miroshnik the spa! I felt I spoke extensively about the things we were seeing and telling them of life in New Zealand. I know that some people expect non-stop commentary, but I believe in a more conversational approach. I did speak about kiwis and NZ history. I gained them entry discounts all the way including helicopter rides that 3 decided on at the last minute.

You would be totally crazy not to engage Julie for your days activities. I has the most informative, fun and classy day on my voyage. Picked up on time and with a smile in a hot red BMW (& it's not a pickup line as I am a woman) and treated like roycould all day. I did ask Julie if she could make it rain a bit less and be a bit warmer), trust me - she would fix it if she could. You do the maths, pay more to travel on a bus and give Carnival more profit or be smart and go with the locals. Easy choice. Patsy

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thanks heaps Patsy! Such a great day! Hope you get over here again soon!
