We had a wonderful day yesterday touring the countryside and discovering some of the great produce of the region. A special thank you needs to go to the boys making the cheese at Noci and Mark Shannon for his time during the wine tasting session( we look forward to seeking out his wines on our return to Australia). Thank you Alessandro for spending so much time with us and answering our millions of questions about the region. A great way to see the region! thank you Jackie And Egidio.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Jackie and Egidio, i'm very happy to reply all questions and it's been a pleasure to spend a cultural and tasty day with you. A big hug from Puglia

It was a customized, wonderful experience! He takes you to the BEST sandwhich shop in the world. Every spot he took us to were small and where only locals would know aboutz. Alessandro is full of knowledge of the area since he is a local. If you want the best food experience in Puglia, look no further!

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Elise, it's been a pleasure to spend a day with you and your mother: you're such an interesting, nice and well travelled peoples. I'm glad you enjoied this foodie tour. Good luck with your life.

We had a very enjoyable day with Alessandro. Addition to being very pleasant himself, he obviously had a nice relationship with the various people wherever we went on our tour . I think it was helpful to ask him for guidance on where to find lodging to maximize our time with him. We have no reservations about recommending him to guide you.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Paul, thanks for your feedback. Me too I enjoyed a lot that tasty tour to discover our culture and flavors. Puglia is so rich in food and wine thus I hope to meet you again for another foodie tour.

My family spent two days with Alessandro in Puglia. The first day we toured Matera and Altamura, the second day we spent visiting many of the small towns and did food and wine tasting throughout the region. Alessandro was a terrific Guide, incredibly knowledgable about so many topics. We had a great time and learned an amazing amount in a very small time frame.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Jonathan, I'm glad you enjoied the tour. Me too I have spent such a nice time with you and your wonderful family. I'll wait for you to show some other part of our tasty and cultural region.

We were concerned about being able to see anything because of the holidays. Allesandro was able to customize our tour and packed in a full day of interesting visits. We saw a winery, cheese factory, olive oil factory and slow meat butcher. All was accompanied by an informative commentary by Allesandro. We would never have gotten to see 'the food of Puglia' without going on this tour. Well worth the money!!

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thanks for your feedback and I'm glad you apprecciated the tasty flavors of Valle d'Itria. Thanks to the extravirgin olive oil tasting you'll be able to recognise a good evo too. When you'll receive the wines from Puglia, please make a toast from Louisiana ... I'll do another one from Puglia.

Alessandro is a very enthusiastic guide and his knowledge of the area is superb. The gourmet tour of Valle d'Itria is a long day, but is very worthwhile. The highlights were the Cordone winery in Locorotondo, the tour of a small factory making Capocollo di Martina Franca, seeing baby buffalo calves at a small dairy farm and tasting the amazing biscuits of Ceglie. Alessandro has chosen an excellent series of producers who make fabulous products and are enthusiastic about them.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: It's a tasty full day rich of flavors that it's difficult to find abroad. I'm glad you appreciated the tour and my knowledge ... by the way I'm still studing and practicing with wine, food and olive oil: I'm taking a sommelier course and and olive oil taster one.

My husband and I are from New York and just visited the Puglia region where we did a day tour with Alessandro. Our tour with him was absolutely one of the highlights of our trip. He is super knowledgeable, very responsive over email and tailored the tour to exactly what we wanted to do. He was absolutely the best! We discovered places and things we would have never been able to do on our own. He was great! I would recommend him to anyone!!

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Angela I'm glad you enjoied the tour and our wine and gastronomy. I hope to meet you in the next future to show you some ohter part of Puglia and Matera.
