Wonderful excursion, Alessandro was an interactive, engaging guide. Cheese, olive-oil and wine tastings & more. 4 stars because we were very disappointed to learn during the tasting that the winery chosen for us, Apollonio (http://www.apolloniovini.it/e) wasn't licensed to ship wines to the US. Everything else about the tour was top-notch. However, great wines are everywhere in Italy & we'd have preferred visiting a winery w/ export permits to the US. Having had wine shipped before, we know they exist.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Kate, I'm glad you appreciate my way of working, the tour and the food experiences. Honestly i din't know you were interested in buying some wines from the winery. Consider also that: - I know the city where you live only when I meet you; - for me it's difficult to know the distribution of each winery as it's quite complex and changes during the year; - usually, it's possible to ship direclty the wine purchased in Italy as a private consumer. If you like we can do whenever your like.

Our guide Alessandro was fantastic. He is most knowledgeable and gave us an amazing tour. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he took us to all the right places that we asked him and we would highly recommend him to anyone wishing an exciting day out. He also took us for a most unusual lunch which was enjoyed by us all. The wine tastings were different and excellent but my highlight of the day was tasting olive oil and cheese accompanied by a delicious glass of wine which complimented the cheese.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Elaine, mee too I enjoed a lot the day spent together. I think you taste some of the most interesting wine, evo and cheeses of this region. The fish cold cuts are really unique and I'm glad you liked. A big hug to all of you. London is not so far thus I wait for you for some other tasty culinary experiences.

We took a wonderful half day tour with Alessandro in August. He worked with us to create a tour itinerary that fit us. We were able to enjoy the breathtaking views along the coast, visit a local cheese maker, and end with a private winery tour and tasting. It was a fantastic day, and Alessandro was a personable, knowledgeable, considerate tour guide. We highly recommend him!

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: I'm glad you enjoied the tour. It's been easy to work with you as you know what you like thus I managed to customize the tour on your needs. I wait for you for another tour focused on nature and culinary experiences.

Just a short note to let you know what great tours we had with Alessandro in Puglia. We had a great time. Alessandro was punctual, picked us up at our hotel, ate at great places for lunch, and his recommendations for dinner were perfact. The restaurants were delicious and exactly the level and quality that we expected. The trip to Alberobello was wonderful and the best was, I could rest and snooze all the way back to Lecce. Thank you Alessandro, Thank you tours by locals.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: I'm very happy when I manage to satisfy the need of the travellers. Mee to I've spent such a nice days with you and your wife. I hope to see you again in the next future tp show some other place in this region.

Having toured through some areas of Puglia last Fall, we were initially uncertain about retaining a local guide. As things turned out, we could not have been more pleased! Alessandro took us to places that we would never have found on our own. He was knowledgeable as to the history and culture of the region, as well as the food & wines. It was a pleasure spending the day with him!

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Jim, also for me it has been a pleasure to spend a day with you and your wife: you're such a nice people !! In Italy we say that after the 2nd there is always the 3rd time ... thus I'll wait for you for the next tasty and photo tour :-)
