I received the very best tour I could have possibly dreamed of receiving. Adam had done extensive academic research along with personal interviews of his family and non-family people who were directly affected and involved in the Revolution. Adam even brought supplementary materials such as books and poetry which added to the heart-felt emotions of those people at that time and place. Five stars isn't enough; I would gladly give him more. I definitely learned so very, very much on this tour.

Fantastic tour. Our guide was amazingly well informed and passionate about Hungary's history. His tour was filled with stories of his own family, which made it ever more personal and poignant. I highly recommend this tour if you have any appreciation of history and of freedom.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear David an Wyatt, thank you very much for your interest and time to listen my stories. I wish you happy new year!

Adam is bright, energetic, personable and knowledgeable, and it was like I was taking a tour with a good friend. Adam is not a 'clock watcher', and we saw everything (and more) that I asked to see. In addition to his own considerable knowledge, Adam shared stories about his parent's fascinating experiences during this period. I feel very fortunate to have been able to learn more about this important event in Hungary's history in Adam's company. Book with confidence!
My Mother and I visited Budapest for the anniversary of the 1956 Revolution. My Father, now passed away, participated as a young man and went into exile, never to return. As such, it was emotional for us. Adam was outstanding, showing us sites relating to these events. With a deep understanding of the matter he candidly shared his own thoughts, feelings and experiences of growing up in a Communist regime. Full of enthusiasm, passionate about his profession, I would recommend him wholeheartedly. Thank you!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you, Paul. It was nice to guide you around the sites of the revolution just in the days of its 60th anniversary. It was a very interesting tour for me as we could compare the experiences of our parents who were participants of the event but then your father was forced to leave the country. I felt an honor that you chose me as your tour guide. Take care, Adam

Adam was a very tour guide - very passionate about his subject and very generous with his time. I'm surprised more people don't do this tour - it is fascinating as much because it wasn't taught in schools for a long time and many Hungarians remained ashamed they had gone along with a newer softer communism after 1956. The reality is, their sacrifices helped pave the way for the fall of the Soviet Union in 1989.

Our recent trip to Budapest was punctuated by a fantastic educational experience with Adam. Our personal interest in history attracted us to his tour which focused on the brave actions of the Hungarian people in 1956. Adam is a very knowledgeable and passionate educator ...and a patriot. His description of events coupled with the on location experience made history come alive. It was richly rewarding to spend time with him. We were so fortunate to have him as a guide and teacher.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear David and Nikki, thank you! I feel also lucky I could be your tour guide. See you again in Budapest!

Adam was an outstanding guide. His 1956 revolution tour was both historically accurate and informed by the personal experiences of his family during 1956. He was willing to answer any and all questions from our varied group (ages 12-77) with very different groundings in the history of 1956. His English was excellent and we had no trouble understanding him, or he understanding us. Highly recommended!

This was an excellent tour. Adam B. was able to show me many of the beautiful and very interesting sites in Pest during our walk. We also stopped for coffee in a beautiful art nouveau house. His stories of various members of his family made the tour so much more personal and brought history alive. It was a window into the soul of the city.

We took the 1956 Revolution tour which I would have to rate at 5 stars. I found it very informative and the explanation of the landmarks and what happened at each place was fantastic. He also brings a lot to the table in terms of his family's stories. At the end of the day we also went to see the national gallery which was fantastic as Adam truly knows and loves art. His knowledge of Italian art is very impressive.
