The focus of my visit to Amsterdam, Delft, and The Hague was historical Dutch art and architecture. On our second day Walda met me in her wonderful, small, comfortable for long legs, Citroen and took me to Delft for a tour of the Royal Delft Factory followed by a walking tour of Delft. After a light lunch, we drove to The Hague to viewing the city and government buildings and tour the Mauritshuis Museum to see gems by Vermeer, Rembrandt and more. Walda is excellent and a very informative guide. JS
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Jane, it was great being with you and do three tours: a private canal cruise in Amsterdam, museums and churches in Delft and The Hague and a combination of Haarlem and Zaanse schans windmills. I loved our talks about art, Tefaf, our lives and culture and I hope to see you again in October. Sincerely, Walda

Walda met us at our hotel at the appointed time and from that point on we enjoyed our tour of The Haag very much. She was highly knowledgeable about the locations we visited, personable, friendly and efficient. We couldn't have asked for more and would recommend her to anyone interested in touring the area where we visited. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time to spend with her touring in other locations. SIncerely, Richard and Marti Santoro
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Marti and Richard, thank you for your 5 star rating! Please come back another time and I'll show you some more. Sincerely, Walda

I spent a wonderful day with Walda touring The Hague and Delft. Walda's art history background was invaluable in our visit to the Mauritshuis Museum - Walda knew the highlights and made the masterpieces come alive for me. Our visit to beautiful Delft could not have been better -- Walda was able to fit in both the churches, the Vermeer center and other local sites. Walda was a pleasure to be with and I enthusiastically recommend her to anyone visiting the Netherlands.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hi Linda! It was a pleasure showing you Delft and The Hague. Glad you enjoyed it! It was a wonderful day, thanks for the '12 uurtje' lunch! Regards, Walda

Delft ~ the home town of Vermeer & the Prince of Orange which fortunately still exists much as it was when both those people were there. You look for Vermeer's 'special light' but of course it was in his eye's extraordinary ability to see and then create something that is timelessly unique. The Hague ~ when combined with Delft add a roundness to the environment. In the Hague, the visit to the Mauritshuis was the highlight.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Glad that you liked this 'Walda Experience' (as you described it in your private comment) too, Jonathan. Thanks for lunch and your 5 star rating, I had a lovely day with you. All the best, Walda

This is my second Tours by Local experience and I cannot express highly enough how wonderful they are. In addition to being shown through Delft and The Hague by an art historian, we also got to talk to Walda about her life in the Netherlands. Her knowledge of art history is unparalleled. All in all a wonderful day accompanied by an articulate and charming guide.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: I appreciate your flattering comment very much, Margaret. I enjoyed showing you Delft and The Hague and it was great talking to you about daily life in Holland. Thank you for your 5 star rating! Hope to meet you again one day. Sincerely, Walda
