Alessandro is an excellent, well informed, fantastic guide. We had a wonderful day. We most loved the caves of Matera, the Pannini lunch with Marino and Anna, the Tulli houses of Alberodello and the wine tour and Tasting at Amastuola. What a great day! Thank you Alessandro!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Karen and Tom, thanks for your feedback. Me too I enjoied the tour: the right mix of foodie experiences, art and history.

I enlisted Alessandro for 3 days of touring/guide. I am a solo traveler. I can't tell you how relieved I was the first day. Alessandro was prompt to pick me up at the Palazzo in Bari. He made me feel comfortable immediately! We had an in depth tour of Matera and all locations! He has pride and love for his region and it reflected in his tours! I felt very fortunate to have Alessandro as a guide ! Thank you!!!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: I'm so happy yu enjoied the place we visited, my way of working and being: you're such a well traveller woman that's so difficult to find something unique to show. I love my region and my job ... but sometimes (i.e. thanks to you) I enjoy more than usual: I've been so fortunate to meet you. A big hug from Puglia.

This was my first time docking in Bari on a cruise ship. I really wanted to see BOTH Matera and Alberobello so Alessandro's tour looked perfect. I found 12 other people on Cruise Critic roll call that agreed too. Alessandro was a pleasant guide who tried very hard to please us but some people were frustrated that he spoke too much. I didn't think so. The main problem was going to two sites. It was too much. I would go to on one site only, probable Matera. It was too long a day for most people.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: it's a shame you're not completely satisfied. It's been a very difficult group: before the departure there has been a couple of person who contacted me instead of speaking with you.During the tour it was like leading lots of different groups at the same time as everyone want to do something different, they didn't follow my suggestions (for lunch and when they preferred to get wet instead of waiting a couple of minutes to calm down the storm) and they interrupt me at the beginning the explanations.
Walking around Sassi in Matera under the wave of hot sun would make one's energy wear off easily. But with Alessandro experienced in describing the history and architecture of the landmark spots, we could finish the whole loop of Sassi Caveoso effortlessly and still had some energy left to enjoy Aberobello and of course, the sunset beam over the Trulli.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: 2 Unesco world heritage sites in a day it's a bit tiring but, as you notice, it's worth. Matera is magic ... and Alberobello is a fairy tale.
