PhilippinesDon't try to see the Roman Forum and the Colosseum without a good guide. Since they are mostly ruins, you need a good guide like Max to understand what you're looking at and what they used to look like. It was my second time at the Colosseum, but the first time, i only looked at the exterior. With Max, we went through the shorter/faster line and had a better understanding of what we were seeing.

He made it easy enough for our children (ages 9 & 11) to understand, but detailed enough for us to feel we got a good understanding of each site. He took us to his favorite gelato and pastry shop, which we are returning to tonight after dinner. He never made us feel rushed or that he wanted to get the tour over with. He took his time and offered us more time if we needed it. He really added to making our Rome experience extra special.

We felt comfortable at all times and he blended with the group very well. The Coliseum, Catacombs and Forum are incredible places full of history, and this tour made the experience very exciting. I would rate the tour a five star and our tour guide a six star because he even went out of his way to help us after the tour.
