Alessandro was a wonderful guide, punctual, friendly, and informative. We had planned our day from Lecce long before the tour, but Alessandro made sure that we were on the same page before we started. The area around Lecce is scenically very beautiful, and historically and architecturally very interesting, and Alessandro realising our interest in the area shared his good local knowledge and stories with us greatly increasing our pleasure of the day. Thank you very much for a wonderful day.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Jennifer & Juris, thanks for your nice feedback and rating. Mee too I've spent such a nice day along the Ionian coast with you. In Puglia there are still 800 km of coast to explore ... thus I wait for you for the next trip :-)

Our 5th & last day with Alessandro was extremely cold and windy, curtailing extended walks along the coast in Gallipoli, but we toured inside the town and met a charming French shopkeeper as well as friendly fish mongers. Through a prior connection, we were able to have a private tour of the fabulous Castello di Ugento, which opens to the public in May 2018. We fit in another charming village and monastery before retracing our steps toward Lecce. Alessandro was the perfect guide for us on all 5 days.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Ron and Wilma, It's been a pleasure to spend some days with you. You are such a nice couple of well travelled, easy going, interesting persons. I'm happy you enjoied the tour despite of the weather. I hope to meet you again in the next future.
Thank you Alessandro for an informative and entertaining day. We enjoyed all the activities you had for us and your patience and friendly manner was much appreciated. You remained professional and considerate for the whole long, hot day. We saw more and learned more in one day with you than we would have in a week on our own! Best wishes for the future, Janine and Stuart
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Janine and Stuart, it's been a pleasure to share with you some of the most interesting places along the Ionian coast of Puglia. I hope you enjoied also the extra virgin olive tasting.

Two beauties. Only had time to do a 1/2 day tour and wished we could have had the whole day.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Valerie, I'm happy you enjoied the tour. It's quite common that during the travel there is something missing: it's impossible to visit everything. It means you have to come back to Puglia soon :-)

Alessandro did a great job covering a lot of ground in a short period. We enjoyed his explanations for the history and points of interests in the three cities we visited.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Robert, I'm glad you enjoied the tour even if in an half day we visited 3 different places.

While staying in Lecce, our group went on a day tour to Coppertino and Gallipoli with stops at 3 wineries and an olive oil production. Alessandro was fabulous in that he customized our tour exactly for our desires. We had dinner in our last winery in fabulous Masseria. Alessandro knows the Puglia region and loves it. He is the perfect ambassador for the region and promoting its history and culture.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Karen, thanks for your nice comment: you are so generous. Anyway, It's true: I love Puglia and I like to share its history, architecture, art, wine and food with people. I've got such a nice memories of those days spent with your group ! It has been a pleasure to work with you to customize the tour depending on the your guests needs. There are lots of other places to visit and wine to taste thus I'm waiting for your next travel to Puglia.
While Gallipoli was a bit touristy for us, the small town of Galatina with the colorful fresco on the ceiling of the romanesque church of Santa Caterina d'Alessandria and the baroque town of Nardo would fill up our love in art and history. Moreover, Alessandro also drove us along the Ionic coast to the western most point of Puglia as well.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: I agree completely with you: Galatina and Nardò are much more interesting than Gallipoli even if they are off the beaten path of tourism.

Alessandro introduced us to some real hidden gems in Solento. Be sure to have him book a nice lunch for you! He has several friends that operate wonderful seafood restaurants in Solento area of Italy.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thanks for your feedback and I'm happy you liked also the off the beaten path of massive tourism itineraries. I do a virtual toast with you and an apulian rosè wine :-)
