We had a perfect first day in Oslo with Kirsti. We knew that we wouldn't be up for a city tour on our arrival day so we asked to be taken to Nordmarka to walk/hike. It was absolutely perfect. Kirsti was the perfect guide. She was flexible (we had missed lunch and had to eat), informative, knowledgeable, and easily adjusted to our needs. While we walked she shared every kind of interesting tidbit imaginable. The weather happened to be perfect and we had a perfect view of Oslo from the summit.Kirsti=perfect

Kirsti is a treasure: congenial, knowledgable, and warm. She took us on a first-rate art and architectural tour of Oslo that was responsive to our requests and interests. She is supremely well organized. All in all, a delightful way to spend a day in Oslo. Many thanks Kirsti.

I had a great afternoon with Kirsti! I had requested an introduction to Norwegian fiber arts - weavings, tapestries, etc. Kirsti helped me get around the public transit system - told me about sites that I should not miss in Oslo. One museum closed temporarily - and I was able to find my way back. The folkart museum was by far the best collection of fiber crafts! Kirsti had many stories to share about Norsk history and mythology. Just a great afternoon of learning and adventure. Thank you Kirsti.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Pamela, Thank you for your kind words! I thorougly enjoyed the day with you, a very interested and responsive traveller. I was so disappointed when The Folks museum was closed because of electricity failure, Am happy to hear That you managed to make it later! Good luck with your own weaving and knitting.. kind regards, Kirsti

As far as I remember you asked where the Norwegian submarines are produced - I looked it up - the answer is Germany. I love getting odd questions! Have a warm and comfortable winter in Arizona! Kirsti was an amazing tour guide! She is very knowlegeable and gave us a great tour of Oslo and its history. We packed a lot into 4 hours walking everywhere and using public transportation when needed. She is smart, fun, kind and in excellent shape - this was a perfect way to begin our Norwegian vacation. We highly recommend her!

My twin sister and I had a wonderful day in Oslo with Kirsti. This was my first visit so we had a great walk about the city center; saw the new Opera house, interesting architecture galore, the Royal residence and lovely parks and waterfront recreational areas. My twin is an art fan so Kirsti took us to the National Gallery for the Munch exhibit! Kirsti is personable and well informed; we had great conversations throughout the day. I loved our time together and highly recommend Kirsti. She is superb!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Patricia, As I was waiting for the two of you I was told by the cruiseship crew that these two ladies were exceptionally nice, adventurous and fun. They were so right! Thank you for the enjoyable hours we spent together!

Nice combination of expertise and charm provided us with an excellent tour of Oslo. It soon became obvious that Kristi knew both the history and current plans for the city that provided us with the foundation for longer visit at sites of interest. Thank you Kristi - highly recommend her for your tour!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Robert, Thank you for your kind words. A guide is always dependent on the respons and interest of the people you guide. It was a pleasure to be with you! I also learned a lot from accompanying a wheelchair around the city. Send my love to your charming wife! Kind regards, Kirsti

USA Family on cruise: 2kids, 2parents, 2grandparents. Kirsti met us at port, we bought city pass tickets, walking tour (13K total steps for the day) downtown, then ferry over to Viking Ship Museum, Norwegian Folk Museum & back downtown using public bus, as rain cut our stop at the Vigeland Sculpture Park. Professional, friendly, knowledgeable, excellent English. Kept all interested, even kids! Got to spend the day with Kirsti who gave us such insight into the past & present culture of Norway. Fantastic!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Some days as a guide are better than others. After a tour with people that are responsive, warm and interested, you go home in a good mood and think you have a great job. The day with you was such a day. I enjoyed learning to know your charming family, and thank you for the positive comments!

Kirsti was an wonderful tour guide. She met our ship as we arranged, took us to the sites we had requested and provided incredibly detailed commentary about it all. She was very relaxed in her approach which made for a wonderful tour. We truly had an opportunity to live like locals - riding the ferry, the bus, and the subway. I highly recommend her for your visit to Oslo.
