This was our only trip of 4, with Sachiko san, that was by public transport. The travelling/walking before we arrived at the old town was time consuming and tiring in the 36 degree heat. Have visited some wonderful places in our other tours with Sachiko san. However, Little Edo-Kawagoe was only mildly interesting. There were some buildings of architectural merit helping to create some photogenic street scapes. In our opinion you could miss out the Festival Museum & Candy Shop Street attractions.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: I am very sorry to know that you do not like Kawagoe. It is a quite popular sightseeing spot around Tokyo. More than seven million people visit there and they enjoy the retrospective atmosphere in Kawagoe.

Sachiko was a wonderful guide. She met our group at our hotel and escorted us to Kawagoe. Because we were travelling during Golden Week holidays in Tokyo, the trains and trams were extremely crowded. She was very friendly and informative. Sachiko allowed us as much freedom as we desired, yet kept us together in our travels. At the end of the day, she escorted us back to our hotel. Thank You, Sachiko.
This was such a wonderful tour. We enjoyed everything about this tour especially the food. Sachiko-san is a friendly guide with excellent knowledge. Sachiko-san gave us a friendly and welcoming treatment, and she kept us entertained throughout the tour. We highly recommend Sachiko-san as a tour guide. Thanks for making this wonderful tour, Sachiko-san.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Grittin-san, Thank you very much for your warm comments and great rating. I had a really good time with you and your family. See you again next year in Tokyo! Let's talk together in Japanese! Sachiko

In my opinion, a local guide is a much better experience than scheduled tours. With a family of 4, it actually cost less. Travelling by public transport adds to the experience of a new country. A guide like Sachiko can give you so much more information than guides on a tour bus. Due to weather, we did not do as much as we planned, but the flexibility of your own local guide still meant we had a really nice day.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: I really appreciate your thoughtful comments! I am very happy to have tours with a wonderful family like you. I hope to see all of you again.

Sachiko shared her hometown of Kawagoe with us in a way that only a local guide could do. She is personable and friendly with a great sense of humor. Importantly she was flexible with her schedule to ensure we had as much time as we wanted at the sights we most wanted to see (Kitain temple and its amazing 550 monk statutes, the Kawagoe castle and the old storehouses--all wonderful). Sachiko also led us to a wonderful local restaurant on a side street that we would never have found on our own.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hello Wayne-san, John-san, Brian-san, Thank you very much for your wonderful comments. I am really happy to know that you had a good time with me in Kawagoe. It was a delightful day for me too. Have a good time in Nagano! Thank you! Sachiko

Terrific. Sachiko was an excellent guide. She was knowledgeable about her subject and willing to answer questions about Japanese culture, language, etc., that were not specific to the tour. Sachiko has a son who studies &works in the US. Perhaps because of this exposure, I found her more comfortable with US idioms and able to discuss similarities and differences in culture, etc. Wonderful experience with Sachiko and I will request her services again if I tour in Tokyo on my next visit.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hello Ellen, Thank you very much for your warm comment and high rating! It was my great pleasure to be with you and your daughter. I really hope to see you again. Sachiko
