Tolga was an excellent guide for Cappadocia. He displayed an impressive knowledge of the region's geography, geology, and history. He was easygoing and adaptive to our needs. The only criticism I have--though I suspect this is common among Turkish tour guides--is the tacked-on visit to a local merchant (in our case, a pottery maker) who put on the pressure to purchase from his shop. This was clearly an arrangement between the guide and merchant, and it doesn't belong in the tour. Otherwise, great tour.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: I am glad you had a great time in Cappadocia. I truly apologize for the inconvenience on tour visiting the local atelier. It is actually a village institution and the purchases are supporting the up keeping of the village and that the visit was actually written in our program. However, I will take your advice on board and take the visit out of the itinerary in order to prevent any misunderstanding for future travelers. All the best. Thank you
