Hayden was polite and communicative about how to spend the four hours and about the layout of DC. He gave us three good ideas we hadn't planned on: we had a convenient lunch and visited the Qurious exhibit at the Natural History Museum; we got Washington Monument tickets and toured that building to see the view. I was a bit disappointed that he wasn't more forthcoming with historical information about the places we were visiting. It was the least I've garnered on any walking tour, and I've been on a lot.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: This was a small student group with one teacher. We visited all major monuments and ended up at museums, where I left them for the rest of the day. The tour seemed to go well (as they all do) but apparently I misjudged what the client wanted, and I can only say that I regret that. It was a nice group of kids and they deserve the best experience they can have on such a major trip.
