Roger was excellent. He had a wealth of knowledge about Atlanta and the Civil Rights movement history. Given the limited time I (we) had in Atlanta, this was an excellent way to see the key sites. He was very accommodating and friendly. I would take another tour with him anytime. It was great. Thanks Roger!

Highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, confident, courteous and accommodating. We chartered a 56 passenger coach for our family reunion and everyone was pleased. In addition to a family tour it was also a history lesson. I did not know the depth of Atlanta's history until after this tour. We will be going back to Atlanta. Thanks Roger P

Best tour ever! Roger is a historian and a story teller. We are amazed at how much understanding of history we learned in two hours. From the Native American civilization before Europeans came, to the civil War, to present day he told us so much in a logical and interesting way. I've read a lot of history and was surprised how much I didn't know. It was exciting to be right where the events happened. Our granddaughter, who lives in Atlanta, plans to take this tour based on our experience.

Mr. Pennyman was fantastic. He is well versed on the city's history and how is has developed over time. He showed me many places and explained their importance. Of course the highlight was seeing First Ebenezer Baptist Church, the home where Dr. King was born, the King Center, the World Peace Garden where children from all over the world had written how MLK influenced them.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you Mr. Chen, I really enjoyed touring with you and it was my pleasure to tour with a real lover of history.

Roger's tour of Atlanta was fabulous. Historical background gave us context for understanding the exciting development of modern Atlanta and its anticipation of a bright and prosperous future for all segments of its diverse population. A stop at the MLK Center was both informative and inspiring. Roger is a well informed, articulate storyteller and it was a real pleasure to spend 4 hours with him. Roger did a great job of customising the tour to suit my interests, while also using his own experience to ensure that we fitted in both good quantity and good quality of touring. Roger is extremely knowledgeable and puts across his insights in an interesting and easy to follow manner. I felt that I had had an enjoyable few hours (he was generous with his time) and learned a lot, as well as visited some memorable locations and given a very good, broad understanding about the city of Atlanta.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you Mr. Spindler, I really enjoyed touring with you and I’m glad that you had the opportunity to see the Atlanta that I love. We did a "regular" 3 hour tour. The airport pricing and duration was what we were interested in. Roger picked us up at the hotel and dropped us off at a restaurant of our choice. Roger knew all the back ways to get around a rush hour traffic. He is very knowledgeable in black history of Atlanta. Coming from Europe, this was very interesting. With that said, we were not interested to discuss certain political aspects of US culture even though we largely agree with Roger views; not the purpose of tour.

OMG! Roger did such a fantastic job guiding me and my family around Atlanta. I had four teenage girls and three adults from Denver,Texas and Colorado. The teenagers said the tour was the highlight of their visit here. roger is patience and goes beyond. He elaborates on sites where one can understand and makes one feel comfortable where we could ask all kinds of questions. I like the professional side of Roger and the sense of humor side to. Will recommend this company and Roger P anytime. D.F.ATL. GA

Roger is an excellent guide. He exceeded our expectations on all accounts. He is knowledgeable and efficient in his approach to showcasing Atlanta. He is a very competent driver, knows his way around the city and his van is very comfortable and clean. His history background certainly helps in his approach to explaining Atlanta's past as well as current events. He answered any questions we had about Atlanta and he welcomed our requests regarding revisions to his normal tour including some extra time. TKS

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: It was a pleasure to work you guys, I learned a lot from you too. I hope you're enjoying the rest of your vacation in Florida !!! Thank you for everything, Roger P.

We would rate this a 5++ if it was provided. We throughly enjoyed Roger and he was such a fountain of information. We were a mixed group with 2 having been born in raised in the area, 2 who have never been to the area and myself who had recently been a transplant. Everyone commented on how much they had learned and how pleasant Roger was. He was more the accommodating with regards to what we wanted to see or might be interested in. Will definitely do this again when the need arises.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: I want to thank all four of you ladies, you were a great audience and very flexible with your tour request. I enjoyed being in your company and I enjoyed sharing my passion for Atlanta's history, its neighborhoods and its little known stories that continue to shape the cities character today. Roger P.

We enjoyed our Atlanta tour by Roger P. It was the high light of our stay in the city. We took our tour the first day we were in the city. Roger was very knowledgeable about the history and people of Atlanta and his love of the city was evident. I would highly recommend this tour for people with disabilities or people who want more than a over view of this beautiful city. We would rate this tour and Roger 5 out 5 stars.

This was our first private tour and everything about it was faultless! We were picked up at our hotel by a late model comfortable minivan. Roger, our guide for the Atlanta's Civil Rights Tour was outstanding. His vast first hand knowledge of the history, culture and neighborhoods of Atlanta enhanced the trip immensely. The bonus elements of time, added attractions and fun filled history lessons made our day an exceptional value. We highly recommend Roger and Tours By Locals! Pitts Girlz 2012 USA
