Fantastic tour. Our guide was amazingly well informed and passionate about Hungary's history. His tour was filled with stories of his own family, which made it ever more personal and poignant. I highly recommend this tour if you have any appreciation of history and of freedom.

Adam was very pleasant, knowledgeable about Budapest history, and was willing to spend as much time with us as we needed to see all the sights we were interested in seeing. He had an interesting perspective as someone who lived through the communist era. Highly recommended.

Adam is bright, energetic, personable and knowledgeable, and it was like I was taking a tour with a good friend. Adam is not a 'clock watcher', and we saw everything (and more) that I asked to see. In addition to his own considerable knowledge, Adam shared stories about his parent's fascinating experiences during this period. I feel very fortunate to have been able to learn more about this important event in Hungary's history in Adam's company. Book with confidence!

We spent two days touring Budapest with Adam. He was extremely informative, making sure we saw all the important sites and giving us an incredible amount of information about the rich history of the city. He was extremely accommodating and friendly. A highlight for us was hearing about his own experience growing up in Budapest under the communist regime. I highly recommend taking a tour with Adam.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Kathy, it was my honor to guide you around Budapest. Thank you for your nice review. See you again one day! Adam

Excellent tour of cultural and historical sights of Budapest. Adam is knowledgable and conveys his love of his country admirably.
We were left puzzled by this tour. we have since found out we saw very little of interest at the castle, and we took so long wandering about up there on a very hot day, hearing the same myths and strange stories that we didn't get to see everything we paid for. Our visit to st Stephens church was plain boring as he talked at us, telling us the silliest stories, as if we were a couple of idiots. Adam offered to take us another time, but we were not interested in wasting any more time with him.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Geraldine, I am very sorry that you didn't like the tour. Adam

Adam is the ultimate tour guide if you want an insider's view of Budapest. He was professional, friendly, and totally knowledgeable. We could not have asked for more. We took two tours with him and he adapted them to meet our needs exactly. You cannot possibly find a better tour guide than Adam.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hi Fred, thanks for your nice words. See you next time in Budapest!
Fred BergerGloucester Point, VA, United States
Unbelievably professional tour guide. He really knows the city and his background of the history of Budapest and Hungary is outstanding. He went out of his way to modify the tour to meet our needs and took us to places we didn't know existed. Best of all, he took us to a "locals" restaurant and it was great. Can't say enough good things about Adam.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Fred & Marylin, thank you for your kind feedback. I also enjoyed you company. I hope you will return one day. Adam

Adam was able to switch up the tour after we told him we had seen a number of the sites the day before. He was very flexible and showed us some sites off the beaten path. He did not just spew the information that some tour guides seem to do. We loved it!

It was a pleasure to meet Adam and learn about his life in Hungary. He was very interesting to talk to, as well as being very informative and helpful. We enjoyed the tour very much. It was quite energetic and you would need to be reasonably fit to do it but we had some lovely views of Budapest and learnt a lot about the town and its history.

Adam was VERY knowledgable about the history and culture of Hungary. He met us at our hotel and even found a Gluten Free restaurant that was safe for my wife to eat! I would thoroughly recommend taking his tour!
Adam provided me with a guided tour that had me understanding and appreciating the history of Hungary and also how it is it to live in Hungary today. Adam is passionate about his country and his culture and this helped me understand what is it is to be an Hungarian. Understanding others is a way to encourage tolerance and international co-operation - Adam is an agent in that important human mission. Thank you Adam.

We took this tour on our 2nd day with Adam and it's didn't disappoint! Adam shows and tells about some of the lesser known and mysterious sites and stories of Budapest. Just as he was the first day, Adam is warm, funny and interesting. It truly feels like you just have a local friend showing you around the city. This is the only way you should see Budapest!
Amanda SellersUnited States
Adam is fantastic! He was very informative in a fun and interesting way. The pace was perfect. We saw a lot of Budapest without being completely exhausted afterward. While in Budapest, a tour with Adam is a must!
Adam was a great guide, very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Budapest. We enjoyed the tour and learnt a lot!

My Mother and I visited Budapest for the anniversary of the 1956 Revolution. My Father, now passed away, participated as a young man and went into exile, never to return. As such, it was emotional for us. Adam was outstanding, showing us sites relating to these events. With a deep understanding of the matter he candidly shared his own thoughts, feelings and experiences of growing up in a Communist regime. Full of enthusiasm, passionate about his profession, I would recommend him wholeheartedly. Thank you!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you, Paul. It was nice to guide you around the sites of the revolution just in the days of its 60th anniversary. It was a very interesting tour for me as we could compare the experiences of our parents who were participants of the event but then your father was forced to leave the country. I felt an honor that you chose me as your tour guide. Take care, Adam

Fantastic tour! Adam started our day by asking questions, so that he could tailor our tour to what interested us. He is extremely knowledgeable and flexible. For example, the day of our tour, the weather was absolutely awful and it could easily have ruined our time in Budapest. Adam, however, was able to adjust to the situation and still give us an incredible tour of Budapest. Best tour guide ever!

Adam was extremely knowledgeable and presented the history clearly and effectively. The tour was fascinating and was even more powerfully presented because he shared personal experiences as he lived through that era. His information helped me appreciate the city, country, and people even more for all they endured and then created, making Budapest the remarkable city it is today.
Jerry HooperUnited States
Adam made history come alive as he guided us through Budapest. His passion for his culture and country is contagious. Sharing his family's personal history over the last century in addition to his own experiences growing up, the tour became more than a recitation of facts and viewing cultural/historical sights. We left Budapest with a deep appreciation of it's culture and people and what they've endured over time. Don't miss a tour with Adam!

Adam was remarkably knowledgeable about Hungarian history and his interest in art history added particular insight to many of the religious and historical paintings. His own family history of involvement with the various regimes of the mid-20th century were also fascinating. We covered a lot of ground during my half day with Adam and I felt that I had a very good grasp of the essentials of Hungarian history by the end. He was also very thoughtful about food, water, and toilet stops!.

Adam gave us a very thorough walking tour of Budapest peppered with many historical and personal highlights. He taught us to use the public transportation, which made the remainder of out visit to Budapest very manageable (and affordable!!!) on our own.
Grahame RussellUnited Kingdom
Adam was a very tour guide - very passionate about his subject and very generous with his time. I'm surprised more people don't do this tour - it is fascinating as much because it wasn't taught in schools for a long time and many Hungarians remained ashamed they had gone along with a newer softer communism after 1956. The reality is, their sacrifices helped pave the way for the fall of the Soviet Union in 1989.

Adam was awesome. He was on-time, very knowledgeable and helpful. It was a very cold night and I thought he would cancel but he didn't. He was happy to share with me the history and beautiful night views of Budapest. I was only in Budapest for a day, traveling from Vienna via train. I wanted a night tour and Adam happily accommodated my request (despite freezing weather). Very knowledgeable and passionate about his home country. I would highly recommend Adam. - Keisha

Our recent trip to Budapest was punctuated by a fantastic educational experience with Adam. Our personal interest in history attracted us to his tour which focused on the brave actions of the Hungarian people in 1956. Adam is a very knowledgeable and passionate educator ...and a patriot. His description of events coupled with the on location experience made history come alive. It was richly rewarding to spend time with him. We were so fortunate to have him as a guide and teacher.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear David and Nikki, thank you! I feel also lucky I could be your tour guide. See you again in Budapest!

Despite booking just a couple days before our arrival, Adam was gracious enough to add our request to his busy schedule for the day. We had a wonderful 4-hour tour with Adam who is very knowledgeable and passionate about his home town of Budapest. We learned much about the past, present and future of Budapest and enjoyed the side stories Adam shared. His command of English is excellent and it was simply a delightful morning.

Adam was an outstanding guide. His 1956 revolution tour was both historically accurate and informed by the personal experiences of his family during 1956. He was willing to answer any and all questions from our varied group (ages 12-77) with very different groundings in the history of 1956. His English was excellent and we had no trouble understanding him, or he understanding us. Highly recommended!

Adam was wonderful. He has such passion for his country and we both learned so much on our walking tour of the Pest side. We walked all thru town even though the weather was not good he made the day very enjoyable including a very nice lunch at the end of the day. We will use Adam again when we return to Budapest.

The tour by Adam of Budapest was great. He gave me a much needed orientation to the city. And he showed me how to use the metro, buses, etc. Most important was the content of the features we visited. He is well versed in history of the country and the specific area. I was very pleased to have someone who had knowledge, not just reading from a guidebook. Adam and I were able to have very good conversations about the subjects of the tour. Thank you Adam!
We had a very comprehensive and informative morning tour with Adam. He is very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Budapest and shared many personal family anecdotes that helped bring the city to life for us and learn about a number of little-known things...especially the chimney cakes!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you. Don't forget Budapest, and come back again!
Excellent tour Adam showed me all the sires I wanted to see , talked about the period as someone who lived through it , also gave both good opinion on the period as well as looked at both positive and negative effects of communism in Hungary.Adam also discussed the effects in Hungary of current politics. Excellent visits to statue park and the terror house and good to see an old communist restraint as well as a cafe . Would use Adam again next time I visit Budapest
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thanks Mark, see you next time!

Adam is one of the most knowledgeable and interesting tour guides I have ever met. In addition to being a wealth of information about Budapest, Hungary, and the history of the region in general, he has an enthusiastic passion for his subject matter and a distinctive ability to engage his clients in a way that leaves one not only immensely informed, but also, emotionally moved. He is definitely one of THE best tour guides I have ever had in nearly 20 years of international travel.
Adam, being born in Budapest and living all his life there,is an excellent guide for the stops on this walking tour. His personal stories about growing up in Budapest enhanced his description of the historical sites. We highly recommend Adam and this tour for future visitors to Budapest.

This was an excellent tour. Adam B. was able to show me many of the beautiful and very interesting sites in Pest during our walk. We also stopped for coffee in a beautiful art nouveau house. His stories of various members of his family made the tour so much more personal and brought history alive. It was a window into the soul of the city.

We took the 1956 Revolution tour which I would have to rate at 5 stars. I found it very informative and the explanation of the landmarks and what happened at each place was fantastic. He also brings a lot to the table in terms of his family's stories. At the end of the day we also went to see the national gallery which was fantastic as Adam truly knows and loves art. His knowledge of Italian art is very impressive.
