What a terrific tour to Coquimbo and La Serena , the popular resort town 12 km away. Pamela showed us the rocky shoreline filled with birds, like Bird Rock then took us to the largest Cross in South America. Fascinating building with terrific views. The short trip to La Serena brought us to its colourful market. At lunch we sampled fresh fish and had our first Pisco sour, the local favourite drink. An exciting day provided by Pamela in an A/C van. Forget the ship and its excursion buses.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you so much, James! I'm glad you liked my tour. All the best to you and your friends!

Pamela was charming and personable. She introduced us to the local culture of her hometown, La Serena. She teaches English as a private tutor to young children so she is very fluent in English. Besides visiting the important sites of the area, we enjoyed an amazing lunch in a truly locals restaurants with traditional Chilean food from this location. I would highly recommended her.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you so much, Mark! I had the best time with you, thank you for visiting our country and city. Kind regards for you all!

Fantastic time with Pamela. Full of fun and a joy to be with. She found us a wonderful local restaurant for lunch. The owners made us feel very welcome. The driver was brilliant abd nothing was too much trouble for either of them. I was temporarily in a wheelchair and they made it so easy for me. We met as strangers and left as friends.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: It was delightful to meet you Kenneth ! Send regards to your friends as well, thank you so much.

Pamela is not as talkative as some other ToursByLocals guides that I have had, but everyone in the tour group thought she was very interested in establishing personal relationships and in getting to know her passengers. She had also arranged a friend of hers to play guitar and sing songs while we had lunch at a local restaurant.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thanks Robert.

Pamela was very accommodating and helpful, and demonstrated a willingness to tailor our tour to our specific interests. A very pleasant person with which to spend an afternoon in Coquimbo and La Serena, and the perfect mix of commentary and quiet. We had a lovely lunch. She brings an interesting and honest perspective to her tour. We highly recommend her to be your guide if you visit the area.
