Kayoko was a wonderful guide and very flexible in adjusting to our preferences. She was very knowledgeable about various topics and was able to give us interesting insights about Fukuoka's history. If you're visiting Fukuoka, make sure to ask for Kayoko.

I highly recommend Kayoko W for any visit to Fukuoka. My trip was very special for I was born in Fukuoka when it was under American occupation after WWII. Kayoka did research to find the building where I was born, the site of the former Brady Air Base, and the beach at Koga where my parents lived. She found a fantastic tempura restaurant on the way to Koga and made all the necessary transportation arrangements. I had a wonderful time with Kayoka. You will too if you hire her as your guide!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you very very much for your comment. I'd really appreciate it.

Kayoko was my guide of Fukuoka including Dazaiifu and a walking tour of old Hakata. A few of the highlights were the Hakata Machiya folk museum which prepared me for visiting the Kushida Shrine with its amazing portable shrines used for a float race in July. She took me to the Kawabatadori shopping arcade to see local products, and we tried local ramen noodles, a specialty of the city. She was knowledgeable, creative, and responsive to my request to see some of the hidden gems of the city.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you very much for your rating! I'm so glad you enjoyed my city! Kayoko
