Great weekend with our lovely guide Larry. All was very well organised by him and he was very patient with us (a group of 10 loud Europeans ;P) and helped us get wherever we wanted to go. He also helped with the decision making when time was tight as he knew the area very well. He chose two restaurants for us and we had a lovely local dinner. Unfortunately, weather wasn't good but Larry managed to still show us the nicest places in such a short time of only two days.

Larry tried to be helpful but He really doesn't know how to conduct a tour. Often He was far ahead of the group and never told us anything about the area we were passing. The weather was bad but he should have helped by telling us things that would increase our interest I would not recommend him to do a tour in English

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: The van we provide is comfortable and roomy enough for all of your luggage and your group members. We took you to and explored all of the attractions that you like in the original itinerary. Skipped the ones you don't want to visit. I tried to follow your pace and catch you up, so I could show and guide you the way. Rainy is a common weather in this mountain area. I wasn't expect the light rains could make you such unhappy. I'm sorry I didn't tell you much jokes and funny things that could make you happy.

Larry was a fun and impressively energetic companion during my two days in the Zhangjiajie area. Traveling to a Chinese national park in July/August presents lots of logistical challenges (huge crowds, stormy weather, potentially sold-out tickets to popular attractions, etc.), but Larry took them all in stride and did his absolute best to make my tour smooth, memorable, and enjoyable.
