Gregorz a great guide. We utilized his services for four days. We had some unusual requests starting with our pick up in Czestachowa and driving us to Krackow while stopping at a winery along the way. We had 5 people and his van was clean and comfortable. His knowledge of his home town and area is exceptional. He went out of his way to adjust to our needs. My wife has some difficulty walking long distances ad Gregorz modified our pace appropriately. I would strongly recommend!!!

Grzegorz was great - we had a very early start at 6.30am. He collected us on time from our hotel and was very chatty and informative on our drive to auschwitz Birkenau. He dropped us for the tour which was done with his wife Anna - an amazing guide who is clearly very passionate and knowledgable about Auschwitz Bikenau. Would highly recommend both of them - thank you for your time and effort today

Grzegorz was our driver only, on this tour. We had a separate tour guide while at Auschwitz and Birkenau. Grzegorz was on time, friendly, full of information on his country, and extremely professional. Kamil was our tour guide and he was wonderful... Extremely knowledgeable and professional but very relatable. My boys loved this experience as did I. Worth every penny. Highly recommended, Thank you!

As a private tour I think Grzegorz could have done a much better job. While transporting us he barely spoke with us, and the vehicle he used to transport us was clean but exceptionally warm, actually uncomfortable. His wife provided the actual tour she was very good, but I did not feel they were in the mood that day to tour our group as during the ride they didn't speak to us on either way but conversed to each other. We were a small group of 5 people.

Greg was very knowledgeable on all aspects of the tour and by the time we got later in the day we were on information overload, which is not a bad thing when you hire someone to educate you on local history. We again avoided the lines and had an on time and efficient day. His enthusiasm for his subject matter was quite obvious. We would certainly recommend his service.

Greg's wife Ana was our private guide at Auschwitz and certainly did a great job of educating us on this horrible historic tragedy that we all need to ensure never happens again. She was very friendly and accommodating and even found a lunch spot on the return trip so my wife could try some real Polish perogies that her ancestors had brought forward to her family in Canada. We would highly recommend her as your guide for this tour and certainly got us past any lines and expedited our tour very well.

From first contact Greg was very responsive. He made all the arrangements for me and communicated throughout. On the day he was on time and with a very clean and comfortable vehicle, which is important when you have a 90 minute drive to Auschwitz. He had arranged a private tour for us. We started at 07:30 which is very early but well worth it. Greg was great to deal with from start to finish - Book him!

This was our 1st tour, organised by Grzegorz. He picked us up from the hotel & took us to Auschwitz-Birkenau, where we were met by a lovely English speaking lady-If I remember well, her name is Ania-this tour was interesting but very depressing. While she was explaining to us she got so emotional that most of us had tears running down our cheeks, but certainly not to be missed. A wheelchair can be hired free of charge. All you need is some kind of identification. Thank you Grzegorz for everything.

We timed our trip the same time as the March of the Living and discovered that it was next to impossible to do some of the tours and things we wanted to do. However, Greg worked with us and did manage to get us a private tour of Auschwitz-Birkenau. Grzegorz arranged in advance for all admissions and for private guiding by his wife who is an official Auschwitz guide, as one is required to use official guides only on site. We negotiated the new admissions system, bypassing the line. She spent time with us during a full day 6 hr on site tour knowing when to tell stories, and when to leave us alone to absorb the solemnity of the ghosts of the past. Anyone really interested in understanding a death camp needs to take the full tour.

Great punctuality, Greg was very couteous and had booked us an amazing private guide in Veter who guided us around Auschwitz and Birkenau. He found us a lovely restaurant to eat between Auschwitz and the Salt Mines tours. The Salt Mines tour we had a group guide for was brilliant. Thoroughly recommend the tour to the Museum, only 4 of us took this option and in my opinion this was best bit. The only slight niggle was that greg could have given us more information as we were driving along about the area.

We got little out of this tour other than a ride from the hotel to the Auschwitz Museum.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Your comment is surprising and unfair because you booked the ride from the hotel to Auschwitz and back.Description of the tour is very clear, so is the information what is included and what is extra. To make it even more clear I emailed you before the tour was confirmed. From my email: "Please note that the option you have chosen means that during the guided tour in Auschwitz/Birkenau you will be participants of a group of max 30people.Guided tour is provided by the Auschwitz Museum."

TOURSBYLOCALS RESPONSE: We're sorry to hear that your tour did not meet with your expectations. I've reviewed the tour and spoken to Greg about this. The Auschwitz and Birkinau tours are quite special in that most of our guides can only act as drivers - the Museum provides the guide. This is because they have very strict rules about who can and cannot speak inside the museum. We've asked Greg to further clarify this in his tour description.

Greg was great- customize the tour so we got to see the most of Crakow. He even helped us figure out how to get back to Warsaw after we faced sold out trains trying to get back to Warsaw. He stayed with us until we had a plan. Kind of think we got a guide AND a friend there in Crakow.

Tour: Auschwitz - Birkenau Museum & Memorial, Krakow, Poland
Date: May 31/11

Found Grzegorz to be a very effective guide. He met us at the hotel at the time requested and whilst on way to Auschwitz gave us information on sights as we passed them . He also gave us a detailed itenary of what to expect throught the day. On arrival , whilst we used the facilites - he obtained our tickets and audio guides and then introducted us to our tour group. His experience and knowledge was exceptional and would not hesitate in recommending him for future tours - Thank you Grzegorz S.

Grzegorz is an insightful, intelligent, and helpful tour guide. He arrived punctually to pick me and my family up for the day's tour and provided excellent commentary both on the drive to our destination and at the destination itself. Jennifer S.

Greg (Grzegorz) is very knowledgeable about this area and its history and customs. His background in geology makes for a much more comprehensive and interesting perspective on the surrounding areas and mountain ranges. Once again, a good balance between the flexibility and structure of the tour. We found Chocholow to be a fascinating place. The smoked sheep's cheese was a treat! Highly recommended tour guide.

Tour: Auschwitz - Birkenau Museum & Memorial, Krakow, Poland
Date: May 19/11

We liked the felxibility of the tour, in that we could concentrate on the things we were particularly interested in but still maintain the structure of the tour. We found Greg (Grzegorz) to be knowledgable with a sharp excellent sense of humour, and a refreshing straighforwardness. We recommend him highly. It is a pity he was not able to be our guide in Auschwitz.

Tour: Oskar Schindler's sites in Kraków, Krakow, Poland
Date: Oct 14/10

We had a wonderful afternoon touring the Jewish quarter of Krakow with Greg. He tailored the tour to our needs, responded promptly to e-mail, met on us time (early actually) and was very well informed about Polish history -our specific interest was "modern history" -WWI to present. Greg was charming, interesting, spoke English fluently and we thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon with him. I would highly recommend Greg to anyone touring Poland/Krakow.
