You will visit the Medieval Castle of William the Conqueror in Caen.
This castle was the capital of William's empire for 2 centuries 900 years ago.
Still in Caen you will then visit the Men's Abbey where lies William's remainings.
Then, after 30 minutes drive through the lovely landscapes of Normandy let's go to Falaise to see William's other medieval castle which has been partly restored and which will allow you to see how people lived in a castle 1000 years ago.
Lunch will be by William's Castle in a very good brasserie with some old medieval recipes.
Then through the lovely village of St Pierre sur Dives 30 minutes drive where William had his ship built back in 1066, we'll see another castle in Crevecoeur en Auge.
And then, after a short stop for cider and Calvados tasting, I will bring you in Bayeux to see the Bayeux Tapestry.
On the way, I will tell you the story of Harold Godwinson, King Edward, Mathilda, and Hastings battle of course.

Meeting location: Anywhere in Caen, at the pier in Ouistreham or in a distance of around 30 KM around Caen
End location: The same place as pick-up.

Traffic may affect the length and the tour.
You will be driven in a brand new Volkswagen Caddy with AC and large seats.
