The Tricentennial Commission chose eleven guides to be official representatives of New Orleans for our 300th anniversary and I am one of them!
I have done a bit of everything: Ghost tours, Cemetery Tours, Garden District Tours, French Quarter History Tours, Vodou Tours. I have engaged people on foot, on bus with mule and buggy and on Segway. I ran for local political office and have been a public school teacher.
You will find me a most knowledgeable and entertaining guide because I take it all with a grain of salt. You're not here for a lecture. You want this to be fun. The highest compliment I ever received was "You're the three e's. . . Entertaining, Engaging and Educational. "
I will do my very best to make sure your experience is relatable , enjoyable and edifying. . . no matter which tour you choose! But if you were looking for "something else" I can customize any tour to your needs or create "something completely different. " Any way, we're going to have a great time!
A Recent Review of this guide
Charles met us early and promptly gave us a unique tour of the French Quarter that we never knew existed. Avoiding the crowds, he took us on a historical ride through the eyes of several famous and infamous inhabitants, stopping along the way to enjoy some local color. Highly recommend him.
