Visit the charming towns of Giverny and Honfleur and learn about Monet and the Impressionism
Traveling by train between Paris and Normandy, Monet spotted Vernon through the window. But finally he rented a house in Giverny and bought it as soon as it became possible. Monet planted his garden so that he could paint in every season. Now it is a living memorial to Monet and his work.
It is an amazing feeling to be in a house where Claude Monet spent almost half of his life. We will walk by Monet's water garden and see famous water lilies and Japanese Bridge.
Honfleur is a magnet for artist today as it has been since the 19th century, this picturesque maritime town is very pretty with its cobbled streets, half-timbered or slate-fronted houses. So there are no surprises that Claude Monet started his artist life in Honfleur.
Le Vieux Bassin, the charming old dock at the heart of the town, is brimming with colourful sailing boats.
