Historical Jakarta Tour
Jakarta began its history in the 14th century as a small harbour town called Sunda Kelapa, and nowadays Jakarta has become a bustling metropolitan city with over 14 million people in an area of 260 sq miles. Jakarta is a city with lots of opportunity, and those who hesitate are lost!
During this tour, you will learn about our history, culture, and experience in an authentic way how the local people in Jakarta live day to day.
This tour featuring following objects and attractions :
1. National Museum
one of traveler said : exploring national museum seems like a whole life learning! this is definetely right place for you to know about Indonesia. well known as one of the biggest museum in South East Asia, it has 200. 000 collections consist of : ethnography, numismatic, ceramics, gold, treasures, textiles and many more. This museum was firstly build in 18th century by The Dutch as art and scientist house.
2. Glodok Chinatown
Glodok is the center of Jakarta's China Town. Visit to Wihara Dharma Bakti Temple dedicated to the budhist Goddess of Mercy, built around 1650. Experience walking through traditional market and intearct with local people.
3. Fatahillah Museum or Fatahillah Square
it was officially functioned as a city hall for dutch government in 16th century.
4. Sunda Kelapa Harbour
The magnificent and brightly painted makassar schooner called phinisi are stilll transporting goods to and from the outer island.

Tour will be started around 8:30 am to 9am
On this tour we will use a city car or mini van like mvp (Toyota Sienta or Avanza) made in 2016 above with air conditioned and clean. If you have a group larger than 3 please send me a message and I may be able to arrange a larger vehicle for you.

200000 IDR : Indonesia Rupiah - Since we have regulation to use local money and its not allowed to use foreign currency in any transaction please prepare some cash on you for meals, for buying water or cold drinks.
Extra Costs: You need some cash in Rupiah to buy your personal expenses such as food, drinks, and souvenirs.
Some additional information to consider:
Taking photos: inside the museum you are allowed to take picture but need to turn off the flash. (exception: gold & treasure room)
what about people? Indonesian well known as very friendly people however it is more respectful if you can say " may i" or you can say "saya ambil fotonya (in our language)?"
Culture: if you are left handed you may learn new thing here because for us, using left hand means "impolite" so better to use right hand while we take or give something to a person as its written Right is always Right :)
Non Smoker. I prefer to have another person to drive, because it is more convenience for me to tell or share the story to traveler.
