Choirokoitia - Kato Lefkara - Famagusta Gate - Paphos Gate
*The site of Choirokoitia has been listed in the World Heritage of UNESCO since 1998. This is the most important prehistoric sights in Eastern Mediterranean which dates from 7th-4th millennium BC.
*Lefkara village is famous for its lace, known as 'lefkaritika' in lace and silver handicrafts. We cannot miss this village which is on our route.
*Famagusta and Paphos Gates are well known as they were built during the Lusignan period to enter the walled city of Nicosia.
Cyprus played a key role in the transmission of culture from the N. East to the European world. The site of Choirokoitia has been listed in the World Heritage of UNESCO since 1998. This is the most important prehistoric sights in Eastern Mediterranean which dates from 7th-4th millennium BC. The village was abondeded in 6000BC for unknown reason. After our visit to this place we drive towards Lefkara. This village is famous for its lace, known as 'lefkaritika' in lace and silver handicrafts. We have a short walk in the village and rest our legs in one of the traditional restaurants while we have lunch and drink coffee. The last stop will be Nicosia. We drive from Famagusta to Paphos Gate. While we have some short walks to take some photos. This will be a memorable day to remember with old and new life of Cyprus.
