It is over 1/3 of a mile long. It has a full-size ice skating rink in the original section. It opened in 1970 and has been repeatedly expanded. It is first of all similar Galleria malls in the United States.

The distance from The Galleria to Bush IAH is about 27 miles/44 kilometers and will take about 40 minutes. The distance from The Galleria to Hobby (HOU) is about 18 miles/29 kilometers and will take about 25 minutes. Thus, you will have about 5.0 to 5.3 hours to tour and shop.
