Discover the wonders of those beautiful towns, private car and driver included
Monreale is a historic hill-town just outside Palermo. It's a picturesque place most famous for the fine mosaics in the town's great Norman cathedral. Built in twelfth century, when the Norman ruler William II, known as William the Good, founded a Benedictine monastery here; this Duomo was its abbey. After a quick lunch stop we will reach the picturesque and fascinating Cefalù, listed among the most beautiful hamlets in Italy for its historical, cultural and artistic value. The most important and impressive monument is the Cathedral. First built during the 12th Century, is an extraordinary example of Norman architecture surrounded by a lovely square with palm trees: the perfect place for enjoying some delicious local gelato. We'll walk through its streets studded with refined palaces and boutiques, colorful food and wine shops with all the most tasteful local products.
