The footsteps of British and French Army at Cape Helles,Gallipoli
The Gallipoli is one of the most important fronts of the Great war. In 259 days thousands of soldiers from several different nations died or wounded. As it is a little bit close history, the grandsons of the heroes that lost their lives on the battlefields are still trying to follow the footsteps of their ancestors. The battlefields can still tell you what had happened on those days as it is well preserved. British landing operation on 25th April 1915 could have changed the whole history. But the defence of the Turkish Army and some lack of plannings affected the whole campaign.
The stories of the 5 different landing operations, cemeteries, memorials and the heroes that deserved VC's are going to be the parts of the tour that you look for.
