You thought only Quebec-city was interesting ? Let's go to an untouristic but gorgeous place : Old Lévis.
Quebec-city, one of the most beautiful and touristic city in North America. In front of it, on the other side of the St Lawrence : Lévis. Most people don't go there. The few adventurers who take the ferry only go on the "terrace". . . just to see the amazing view on Quebec-city.
But how many go further ? And why go further ?
If you're looking for unexpected interesting places and "something else" than the big touristic places, you'll love Lévis.
Lévis is a hidden treasure, especially the old part. It seems to be "only" a succession of beautiful houses and a big church. But theses houses have stories, stories overlaid in a complex history.
For this tour, you need good shoes and to be ready to walk. The city isn't flat.
Last but not least, if you like chocolate and ice cream. . . just book this tour !
I can also guide in Old Lauzon if you would like to discover this neighbourhood.
Start and finish : the tour is in Lévis, near the ferry. But I can fetch you in Quebec City.
We're going on the terrace, then the church Notre-Dame-de-la-Victoire, then to the fresco and coming back with an other way. The tour takes place around the main church of Old Lévis.
Meeting Location + Tour Duration
Meeting location: It's better to start this tour in Old Lévis. Can be at the ferry's building or nearby the main church for example.
End location: Ferry on the side of Lévis or somewhere else in the Old-Lévis if you prefer.
Duration: 3 hours
In winter : it can be less if you're too cold.
And we won't begin or finish during the night !
We'll walk approximately 4km. But the city isn't flat.
Fun, facts and (I hope) Sun with a professional local guide.
The tour is mostly about history (little and big one) of Lévis and Province of Québec. But not only : we'll talk about culture, language, communities, local politic and credit unions !
+ panoramic view on Quebec-city
Estimated Local Cash Needed
8 $CA - If you come from Quebec-City, you can take the ferry with or without car. You can park your car (free) in Old Lévis.
