Visit the main highlights of Normandy in this full-day tour
If you have only one day for Normandy, you can discover Omaha Beach Landing and Honfleur in full day tour.
First at all, we will see La Pointe du Hoc. Preserved as it was at the end of fighting, this place was taken by US Rangers using grappling hooks.
Next, we will see "Bloody Omaha". The 1st and 29th US Divisions had terrible losses on Dday. I'll show exact location of famous "Norman Cota's draw".
Also, you will have time to pay your respects at American Cemetery.
Next we will visit Honfleur. It is a magnet for artist today as it has been since the 19th century; this picturesque maritime town is very pretty with its cobbled streets, half-timbered or slate-fronted houses. So there are no surprises that Claude Monet started his artist life in Honfleur.
Honfleur is the best town to learn about the Vikings, Norman Conquest and 100-years war.

Elena adapted the tour to include the Pegasus Bridge. She led us through the Museum and explained all the key items. We then went on to Honfleur were she chose an excellent restaurant before giving a tour of the city. She arranged a Calvados tasting which was excellent. We then went to Touville and saw a fabulous seafood market and then on to Deauville and then the Coast road back to our Hotel. She is extremely knowledgeable, well prepared and very pleasant.
