The American Indian archaeological record is one of the richest in the world. There are tens of thousands of American Indian sites in the Southwest alone, where the dry climate has preserved a remarkable range of evidence. The national monument consists of the ruins of multiple structures surrounded by a compound wall constructed by the ancient people of the Hohokam period, who farmed the Gila Valley in the early 13th century. "Archeologists have discovered evidence that the ancient Sonoran Desert people who built the Casa Grande also developed wide-scale irrigation farming and extensive trade connections which lasted over a thousand years until about 1450 C. E.
* Pick up will be at at pre determine time
* We will drive to Casa Grande Ruins where we will learn the history and the culture of the oldest villages of the Native Americans! It will be for about 2 hours.
* We will enjoy a nice picnic at this site.
* Then we will drive to two individuals sites where we will see petroglyphs drawings. That was drawn over 800 years ago. We will return to Tucson around 5ish. Depending on traffic.
