Experience a charming unspoiled tuscan town
Lucca is a charming quite town where you can see a diffetent side of Tuscany far from the crowds.
We'll bike or walk on Europe's best preserved city walls - the very symbol of Lucca's independence. We'll see traces of the city's Roman origins, the beautiful romanesque churches and Renaissance palaces and gardens. We'll go along the Fillungo Street -bustling with local people out for the late afternoon "stroll".
Lucca is also home to Giacomo Puccini, whose music is played every day, and the beautiful Ilaria del Caretto, immortalized by her husband in marble. We can relax over a coffee or glass of wine in the Ancient roman amphitheater.
Highlights include the famous renaissance walls, Cathedral of Saint Martin - with the famous tomb of Ilaria del Carretto and other masterpieces - Napoleon's Square, the church of Saint Michael in Forum and near by home of Puccini, the ancient roman amphitheater square the church of San Frediano and the Pfanner garden.
Please note that this is a private tour for you an we can adjust the itinerary
a you wish.

Laura was very knowledgeable and communicated well with our group and did an outstanding job of taking us through the history of the Luca area and pointing out the key sites. We would highly recommend her specially for groups of Americans, since she is American born. Her communications were outstanding.
