Explore the old city center, with optional drop-off at lunch place, famous apple pie restaurant, museum/church etc.
A perfect first introduction tour to Amsterdam, with many tips!
Visit the beautiful oldest part of Amsterdam with me, a very diverse area with interesting places to visit for everyone: historical buildings, old canals, small museums, shops, churches and the Red Light District.
I am a local shop owner and have been giving tours in Amsterdam for the past few years.
During this tour we will visit interesting places like the oldest building and house of Amsterdam, I will give tips on what to do after the tour/following days, we'll have photo opportunities, perhaps taste a Dutch herring or Dutch colonial food and visit my (chocolate!) shop in the Red Light District.
We'll visit a wing of the Amsterdam Museum to admire some modern and classic Dutch art and visit a beautiful court yard (when open).
Please let me know beforehand if you would like a drop-off, so -if neccesary- I can arrange reservations.
Know which places you want to visit and how to move around town after this tour!
We meet at the usual meeting place or at your hotel (if this is in the 1012 zip area).
During the tour we will pass by:
- the oldest building and house of Amsterdam
- famous small alley quarter
- Catholic hiding church
- Red Light District
- ChinaTown/multicultural area
- small museums
- wing of the Amsterdam Museum (when open)
- beautiful old court yard (when open)
- some of my favourite photo opp places!
During the tour I will point out other areas/museums/markets etc. you can visit during your stay in Amsterdam.
If you would like to end this tour at a lunch restaurant, small museum etc. in the old city center, please let me know!

Salome was an excellent guide and we would highly reccomend her. She went out of her way to help us with transportation and is a genuinely nice person. We enjoyed our time with her.
