Ancient and Medieval Rome with Lunch or Dinner with Roman and Jewish Traditional Cuisine
The Rome Jewish Community is the oldest in the western world: it dates back to the 2nd century B. C. . At the foot of the Capitol hill was created the Ghetto, where between 1555 and 1870 Jewish people were forced to live. The district is a landmark for the Jewish people with shops and kosher restaurants. We cross the Fabricio bridge (62 B. C. ), the oldest bridge left in Rome, and we reach the Tiber island and Trastevere. The district developed on the right bank of the river as area for merchants, sailors, fishermen and foreigners. Trastevere looks like a maze of narrow, winding streets and it maintains its old character with its cobbled streets lined by ancient houses.
Th Kosher Restaurant is located in the ancient heart of Rome, at the Jewish Ghetto. If you are lucky, you will live a unique experience, assist in the preparation of bread, pasta and desserts, all homemade by the professional pastry chef in a Cooking Show space visible to the public and finally you can enjoy a lunch or dinner!

Alessandra is very personable and extremely knowledgeable, and my wife and I learned a great deal from her. She arranged an excellent dinner experience for us as part of the tour. We would definitely seek her out on our next trip to Rome.
