Get to know the City from the unique perspective of Joyce Weir, who will guide you on a memorable walking tour that includes an introduction to some of our most celebrated landmarks and hidden gems that make this such a special place to visit. During this tour you will see among other buildings the Nathaniel Russel House that was built in 1808 by a wealthy shipping merchant, it is an example of Neoclassical American houses. The interior of the house has been restored to its original grandeur and it is surrounded by formal gardens. Visit this house with me and travel back in time!

Meeting location: We will meet at a convenient location of your choice or Washington Square Park behind City Hall located at 80 Broad Street at the corner of Meeting Street.
End location: We will end the tour at a convenient location of your choice, Washington Square Park or near shopping, restaurants and other activities.
Duration: 2 hours 30 min.
Tours depart rain or shine. Charleston's 67 National Landmarks will allow us to tour indoors if the weather is inclement.
We will walk unless a vehicle is requested that will require an additional fee.

Joyce is very enthusiastic about Charleston and its history! We found her to be an expert with an incredible depth of knowledge. We covered a large amount of ground in our tour and Joyce stayed ON for the entire 2.5 hours, never tiring! Would definitely recommend!
