Middleton Place and Charleston's Walled City Tour
Your tour will begin when you are picked up at your hotel or place of residence. Middleton Place is about a 30 minute drive from Charleston. Along the way I will give you a very detailed explanation of life on the plantations in the 1700 & 1800's.
Once arrived, we will tour the oldest formal landscaped garden in America. We will stroll anon the Ashley River and discuss the rice industry in Charleston.
Once returned to Charleston we will tour the waterfront homes on both the Ashley and the Cooper Rivers. The Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon, Four corners of Law and more.
Meet up at your Hotel.
During the 30 minute drive to Middleton Place we will discuss the founding of Charleston's Historic Rice Culture.
We will arrive at Middleton Place to tour Oldest landscaped garden in America.
Return to Charleston and tour waterfront homes, Rainbow Bow, South of Broad & The French Quarter.
Meeting Location + Tour Duration
Meeting location: You can be picked up from your Hotel on Charleston's Peninsula, West Ashley, or North Charleston.
End location: You can be taken back to your place of pick-up or another convenient location.
Duration: 4 hours
If there is a car accident on Ashley River Road, this will impact our drive time.
We will take a private vehicle and also do some walking.
