A 3 Hour Portland History Tour by Car, With Stops at Two Distilleries
The tour begins with a 45 minute drive through and around the Portland peninsula. The tour route includes the Eastern and Western promenades, the Arts District, the waterfront area, and the Old Port section of Portland. Discussion covers, in addition to Portland history, the "foodie" and beverage scene, famous Portlanders and Mainers, and Portland's unique history with rum and the prohibition.
Our first stop is at the Maine Craft Distilling. The 45 minute stop includes distillery tour with samples of their 8 different spirits and time for shopping and/or a specialty cocktail.
Stop number two is at the Stroudwater Distillery, and includes more tasting--and keep your souvenir glass!
This 3 hour tour encompasses a complete geographical and historical tour of Portland, a thorough tour of two highly regarded local distilleries, samples of the distillery products, a souvenir glass, and an opportunity to purchase (at guest expense) additional cocktails and bottles of local Spirits.
