The most famous eruption of Mount Vesuvius took place in the year 79 AD, when the volcano buried the ancient Roman city of Pompeii, together with many others, under a thick carpet of volcanic ash. During this tour we'll see the city, frozen in time, in its last moment.

We had a great day visiting Pompeii and then Sorrento/Positano with Giancarlo and his driver David. Giancarlo was enthusiastic and showed us around Pompeii. Visiting Pompeii was one of our kids favorite activities of the trip and a lot of that had to do with Giancarlo's enthusiasm. David was our driver who picked us up promptly from our hotel and navigated the tight traffic of Sorrento/Positano like a pro. Thanks again for the great day guys!
