Private tour - Highlights of Palermo by foot
Strolling through the old town we get to know the historical centre of Palermo - with the baroque square 'Quattro Canti', the Piazza Pretoria with its marble Pretoria fountain and the city hall, as well as the delightful medieval churches La Martorana and San Cataldo. We will visit the Martorana church, where we study its wonderful Byzantine mosaics. This is followed by the impressive baroque church of Il Gesù. After this, we stroll through the picturesque and colourful Ballarò market to the Royal Palace and the Norman cathedral, where we visit the tombs of important medieval kings like Roger II. of Hauteville and Frederick II. of Swabia.
