a 2 hours wine tasting tour with a sommelier
Discover the most distinguished Sicilian wines with a local expert and certified sommelier!
Grapevines have been cultivated in Sicily at least since 2000 BC (BCE). The first grapes on the island were planted by the Phoenicians. However, it was starting from the 8th century BC (BCE) with the arrival of Greek colonists, that higher quality grapevines and better methods of cultivation were introduced.
Today you will discover the most representative local grapes
such as Nero d'avola, Grillo, Perricone.
Wines will be served with snacks (cheeses and snacks).
The tasting will take place in a local wine bar.
We meet by the Opera house and walk to one of the market.

Francesca was amazing. We had a wonderful time sitting in the bar having a personal wine experience with her. The food was delicious and the four wines we tasted we awesome. It was an afternoon that felt more like old friends enjoying telling stories and sharing some great wines. I know that this experience was one on my niece's favorites. We will definitely do this again next time in Palermo.
