Saint John of the Hermits and Palatina Chapel
The tour unfolds in the part of the city where we find the architercural jewels of Palermo, some of which date back to the 12th century.
We will visit, in the Royal Palace, the Palatine Chapel, which is decorated with golden Mosaics.
The second part of the tour includes the Church of Saint John of the Hermits, wich is considered one of the most beautiful site of Palermo.
The last part of the tour consists of a visit to the Cathedral which is another splendid example of Arabic-Norman architecture.
This tour is designed for those who do not want to walk much. In fact, the monuments that I propose are located in the same district.
We will start the tour from Quattro Canti (Vigliena Square) so togheter we will reach the Royal Palace where the Palatine Chapel is located. The second part of the visit is dedicated to Saint John of the Hermits and finally the last visit will be at the Cathedral of Palermo.

We had a fabulous tour with Iolanda! She knows the city like the back of her hand, happy to let our itinerary unfold as we went along. She was not worried about spending a little extra time with us! It was fantastic visiting the food markets with her, she knows the best places to sample the local fare. Her French is even better than her English and her love of Palermo is infectious. I believe we gained a friend for life. We would definitely hire Iolanda again on our next trip to Palermo!
