3 hours Walking tour combining Art and Food
The first thing to do when you arrive in Palermo is to explore its markets. Together we will visit three markets: Capo, Vucciria and Ballarò. The tour that I propose combines food and art. In fact, during our walking tour in the Markets we will also visit some churches that we will find along the way.
Of course we will take time to taste the typical street food as arancini, panelle (chick pea frittas), sfincione (sicilian style pizza) fresh ricotta cheese with a glass of fine Sicilian wine. All of this would not be complete of course without a strong Sicilian coffee served with one of our local pastries such our famous cannolo.
*The tour is available for individuals and for small groups.
**It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes and to let your guide knows about any allergies.
We will meet in front of the Massimo Theatre in Verdi Square. Together we will visit the three markets (Capo, Vucciria e Ballarò Markets) connected by major roads of the city. We'll appreciate the facades of medieval churches and will cross monumental squares. This itinerary is not only an opportunity taste some sample of local gastronomic specialties but it is an opportunity to get to know the city of Palermo, with its perfumes, its colours and the voices of the vendors that make this city a very special place.
