This was a trip not to be missed. We were picked up on time from the hotel, the tour guide was very personable and knowledgeable, spoke excellent English, and gave us a great experience in Ouro Preto and Congonhas. Walking through an old gold mine and learning about the meaning of different colors in the mine walls was a highlight of the trip, together with the visits to old churches. A truly unique experience was a stop to see a colorful toucan that had been frequenting a neighborhood for ten years.
