The City Centre and the Vigeland Sculpture Park

This tour takes you to all the main sights of our capital. We will visit our famous City Hall where the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony takes place every December 10; the old, medieval castle of Akershus, founded by king Haakon in year 1300; the Parliament Building, the old University and our beautiful Royal Palace (outside). Besides this we will explore the already famous Opera House of Oslo, shaped like an ice berg, but more inviting! You can literally walk on top of the building and have a magnificent view of the Oslo fjord and a fascinating new part of the city in the process of being totally transformed.

In combination with this city centre tour, I will take you to another treasure of Oslo - the Vigeland Sculpture Park which is located just outside the city centre. The park exhibits more than 200 sculptures by the Norwegian artist Gustav Vigeland, all surrounded by a beautiful landscape of flowers and lush trees. The park is a «must see» of Oslo!
