A 3 hour walking tour across one of the world's greatest thoroughfares, 42nd Street, to discuss architecture in New York City.
Stretching from the East River to the Hudson River and cutting through the heart of Manhattan, 42nd Street features major monuments of American 20th-century architecture.
Your tour starts in Times Square where I'll give you a history of Manhattan and the evolution of the skyscraper. We'll see 1 Times Square & "The Ball" that drops for millions of revelers on New Year's Eve.
Three buildings over 1000 feet tall are on 42nd St. and you'll see them all. In addition to the New Times Building there is the Art Deco Chrysler Building and the Bank of America Tower.
I'll bring you inside Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, giving you the history of both and quaint, unknown stories. Your tour will end by the East River at the United Nations complex.
