The city is located 1, 500 m (4, 900 ft) above sea level on the Langbian Plateau in the southern parts of the Central Highlands region. In Vietnam, Da Lat is a popular tourist destination.

The city's temperate weather stands in contrast to Vietnam's otherwise tropical climate. Mist covering the valleys almost year-round leads to its name "City of Eternal Spring".

Stephen was awesome - I highly recommend. We took a day trip to Da Lat with Stephen as our guide, he was very flexible and accommodating to our request to adjust the tour a bit for my elderly mother, which he was happy to do for us. We felt super comfortable with his guidance, he was kind and patient (And cute!) — After the tour end, he even came back to the hotel and gifted us with nice Vietnamese coffee which we thought was such a sweet gesture. I can't recommend Stephen highly enough for anyone!
