My heritage is French, Native American and African American also known as Creole.
As a native, I've always been fascinated by the history of New Orleans and its diverse culture.
It was founded by the French and later inhabited by the Spanish, Free People of Color, and the Americans after the Louisiana Purchase.
The rich history of Jazz, Mardi Gras, and our annual festivals all make our city one of the largest tourist attractions in the United States. One of the fondest memories of my childhood in New Orleans is, at the young age of 7 years old, where I masked as a Mardi Indian on Mardi Gras Day.
As a history enthusiast, I am constantly reading and researching the history and culture of New Orleans. I am especially interested in Marie Laveau, the practice of Voodoo, the plight of enslaved people, and the Native Americans.
Every tour is a personal experience, with lasting memories to cherish.
Prior to my tour guide career, I was an active real estate agent with a well-known prestigious real estate agency specializing in higher end properties, therefore, I tend to be more detailed when leading my tours.
I have been a tour guide approximately 4 years. My tours include St. Louis #1 Cemetery, the Treme and French Quarter Walking tour, the Garden District and citywide tours. I also feature a "Plantation Tour" to introduce you into an unpleasant era in American history, and a stroll through the famous French Quarter.
Any of the tours can be personalized to meet your needs and interests, so please don't hesitate to contact me to request any change.
See you soon in New Orleans!
