Sportive and enthousiastic, fond of walking, cycling, languages, and much more. I travelled in more than 40 countries. I will be pleased to be your guide and host during your Dutch holidays. Amsterdam, of course, is the best known highlight of the Netherlands, and I love to show you all the marvellous spots and museums in the city. But a country is not just the capital. There is much more to discover. Off the beaten track, that's my specialism. In Amsterdam, but also in surprising scenic cities just outside the capital. Discover Utrecht, Haarlem or Gouda. Or more rural, make a walking tour with me in the gorgeous Vecht River region just south of Amsterdam. A beautiful green Dutch countryside with the summer estates of the 17th century Amsterdam Merchants, draw bridges and scenic villages along a lush small river. Coincidentally also the area where I live, so a real inside experience. Next to nice destinations, I like to share my knowledge about Dutch society, local food and such things like the typical Dutch way of dealing with rules. I will try to explain why our modern country still is a monarchy, how to eat a 'bitterbal' and how to survive in the anarchy of Dutch bicycle traffic. …. You are very welcome to book one of my tour options or to contact me about a tailor made tour. There is much more possible than the described tour options! Walking, cycling, by car.
