3 unique museums in Oslo
Norwegians have always been adventurous.
Given the nature of our country with the long coast line, it is only natural that the people have been closely related to the oceans and the seas.
This tour will start with a short boat trip from the City side to the Bygdøy Penninsula.
At the Maritime museum we see a short documentary of the importance of the boat in Norwegian history all along the long and rugged coast.
Right next door we enter into the history of Arctic discoveries, at the FRAM Museum.
Finally and before moving on we visit the Kon-Tiki museum to learn more about Thor Heyerdahl and his Kon-Tiki expedition, that on his part was the start of a long life adventure
After this visit we return to the city centre by public transport.
On this tour I will take you across the inner harbour of the Oslo fjord to the Bygdøy peninsula, I will guide you through the 3 museums and tell about norwegian discoveries from the Arctic to the Antarctic as well as Thor Heyerdahls theories when travelling across the oceans. This time we will use public transportation to the museums and it will be useful to purchase the Oslo Pass that covers entrances and transport back and forth to the city center.
