Hiking, walking, parks and wild life
This is a tour for nature lovers, like myself!!
As a Biologist, I made a selection of places that please me the most to share with visitors.
They are a sample of the best Rio has to offer involving ecosystems, wild life and our variety of fruits and vegetables.
We will start the day having breakfast at a farmers market. It allows us to experience the different colours and flavours of a tropical country.
We will take a short hike in the Atlantic Rain Forest to visit one of our refreshing waterfalls in the city. Remember to bring your bathing suits!
We will also visit Parque Lage, a beautiful British garden around an amazing 1920's palace that now houses an Art School with a charming cafe.
And we will visit the Botanical Gardens that displays a collection of over 8, 000 species of plants (native and exotic) and around 150 species of birds and mammals, like toucans and monkeys. The animals are in their natural habitat but have become accustomed to humans and are fairly easy to observe.
